About Us
From Family Roots to a Fresh Start
Sound Self Storage has its roots in a legacy of craftsmanship, community service, and adaptability. The facility began in 2006 as part of G. Brunatti & Sons Ltd., a family-run business that served the Parry Sound area since 1939. Originally known for shoe repair, the Brunatti family evolved over the years diving into orthopedic appliances, boat covers, and industrial products before eventually expanding into the self storage industry.

In 2025, the self storage operation entered a new chapter as Sound Self Storage, now proudly owned and operated by the Hinksman family.

While it's no longer under the Brunatti name, the Hinksman family is deeply committed to maintaining the same small-town values of trust, reliability, and personalized service that the community deserves.
We've taken the strong foundation built by the Brunatti family and are continuing to improve the facility with enhanced services, modern upgrades, and a renewed focus on customer satisfaction.
